MY CONCERT LIFE Ep 39

How weird is it that it was 30 years ago? They're all 1996.

So many great shows, so many great shows in my concert life are 30 years ago.

I mean, a tale of two talk show hosts begins in 1996.

What a year in my life, like really.

I was surprised that that's when I saw ACDC, only time I ever saw them, at the Meadows.

It was back August, but August 1996.

So it wasn't even in radio yet.

Here's what's really interesting too.

I got four tickets to that show, bangers.

They weren't together though.

And I rarely asked for that.

And a friend at the time, his wife loved them, had never seen them and might've said on top of it, had never been to a concert.

So I said, we got to all go.

Fourth row, just not in the same.

And who cares? Like, we were at one end of the fourth row.

You're at the other end of the fourth row.

And the girls can switch places.

You know, whatever.

We swap them out.

We do it.

But this was before radio.

I think I actually pulled that from ACDC's management interviewing them, you know, for one of the local newspapers, for like the Connecticut Post.

Is that crazy? That's how the game was then, though.

You befriended the publicists.

If they liked working with you, you know.
