Because Walker, my coach, had a baby, we had to adjust camp a little bit this year.
We had to do like one less day.
We met at Seattle Prep on Monday and we carpooled out to Bridal Trails, which is in Bellevue, Kirkland, that area.
And we ran out there, carpooled out there, which is about maybe like a 20-minute drive from prep.
And we got to do like a nice eight-mile run.
And it was really nice and foresty.
And there are horses on the trail, so it was kind of difficult because the people who own the horses are very... very stern about making sure that their horses are taken care of.
So every single time you approach a horse or a horse owner, you have to literally stop.
You can't walk.
You have to stop.
And you have to get to the side of the path and let them pass through.
And the park ranger was a little bit snobby about having to discovery pass on one of my teammates cars.
And so it was this whole process, but it was fun.
And then we got back to prep.
We had some team meetings, talks a lot about like what we want the team, like the legacy of the team to be.
And then also what we want the team to mean for each other.
And yeah, You know, in the past, we've talked about making practice the best part of somebody's day.
I think that's a big thing that we've always talked about is like, we need to make practice a sacred space for somebody because sometimes people are gonna be having a hard time in school, hard time with friendships, hard time with relationships, but we wanna make this sport a place where people feel like they can call home.
And I think that's been so big and so central to what we do.
is going out of your way to make friends.
