RINGSIDE EVENINGS – MAY 11, 2026

All right, lot to get to here this evening.

The hantavirus is spreading.

So now two Americans are having symptoms.

They are in Emory at a facility there being treated.

A French passenger also developing symptoms.

Nine total from that cruise ship where patient zero supposedly went on a bird watching expedition and went into some kind of rat infested area and developed it and spread it.

And now the world is on edge.

I don't think we're looking at another COVID, but I don't know what we're looking at here.

504-556-9696.

President Trump saying that we could very well restart military engagement against Iran because the ceasefire is on life support.

So we'll give you thoughts on that.

Looks like the Iranians are just sort of, I don't know, playing us.

Don't seem to be interested in a deal.

Not serious.

So here we are.

And I would hope that whatever we decide to do, we get this thing over with because people are hurting out there.

Gas prices now in this area over $4 a gallon.

I think the nationwide average is like $4.58 a gallon, if you can believe that.

That is just outrageous.

And while this is going on, the transportation secretary getting briefed for doing a reality show road trip with his wife.

His name is Sean Duffy.

His wife is Rachel Campos Duffy.

They have nine children.

And they were, I guess, gallivanting across the country on a reality show.

And people are saying, well, what's this guy doing on a reality show driving away when people can't afford to drive? President Trump talking about getting rid of the gas tax.
