Today we're talking about something I've become increasingly curious about over the last few years, the connection between neurodivergence and alcohol dependence.


In particular, I've become much more aware of just how much I used alcohol to quieten the noise in my head, switch off and regulate how I was feeling.

So I was really interested to talk to her about her own experience and what she understands about herself now that she didn't back then.

Before we get into it, I do want to make it clear that neither my guest or I are trained professionals in neurodivergence.

We're simply two people talking about our lived experiences and some of the patterns that we've recognized along the way.

So for people who are meeting you for the first time, can you tell us a little bit about who you are and where alcohol and drugs first entered the picture for you?
