Not necessarily being physically alone but that feeling of being disconnected, feeling like you're carrying everything yourself and feeling like nobody really knows what's going on beneath the surface.

When I look back at my own drinking, stress, anxiety, and wanting to switch off at the end of the day were all a part of it, but underneath all of that was often loneliness.

He's an accredited sober coach, best-selling author, and speaker who has now been alcohol-free for more than six years.

From the outside, he appeared incredibly successful and high-functioning, but behind closed doors, he was struggling with isolation, pressure, and a growing dependence on alcohol.
