We finally get our first look at the 2026 Saints Sunday when they take on the Lions in Detroit.
Now, each week in this part of the show, we'll check in on what's going on with the Saints.

Now, since this is week one and we didn't really see much from the Saints starters in preseason, we'll start with taking a look back at last season.
As you know, it was a season of change as a new coaching staff took over under Kellen Moore.
Saints won just twice in their first 12 games, but they did have a strong finish winning for their last five.
In his nine games as a starter, Shuck went five and four, and he was among the NFL leaders in some key categories.
Shuck was fourth in completion percentage and ninth in both yards per attempt and passer rating from week nine through week 18.
With a full offseason as a Saints starter, he'll be looking to build on that this season.
We saw Shuck develop a great chemistry with Chris Olave, and Olave wound up having a career year.
And the Saints rewarded him with a four-year contract that could pay him up to $132 million.
So the Saints are once again counting on Shuck to Olave to power the offense this season.
Tyson will miss the first month of the season due to a hamstring injury, though.
But fellow draft picks Bryce Lance and Barry and Brown both made the active roster.
