008 - The All-Wasteman Team

All right.

With the first overall pick, with the first selection, we are proud to select from the Halifax Mooseheads,

Philip Zadina.

Holy

moly.

i'm just playing uh okay i think so they say build around center you know i'm gonna start with this i don't know if this is my my no i didn't know i'm not doing these in order of wastefulness yeah but i i i went i went position by position here pause uh and i'm gonna take first to lead things off at center human egg with a beard derek step on what a what a pull he was only here for 20 games uh because he's baby he's not main covid baby derek step on supposed to bring um some stability to the center position.

I believe we did trade for him.

And, you know, he lived in that comfortable milieu in my mind of, like, guy I've heard of, you know? Like, yeah, doesn't he play for the Rangers or something? Like, he's pretty good.

We got this guy for 20 fucking games.

He demanded a trade, like...

I felt like word got out in the street with this team pretty easily.

And it felt like he didn't even make it to damn December before he was like one skate out the door.

Yeah, we got one goal from this guy.

I think he had some sort of mysterious injury and then went to purgatory, the Carolina Hurricanes.

But yeah, I just think of that guy and I'm like, fuck you, Wasteman.

Like, You got paid millions of dollars to basically refuse to play for this team.

Man, fuck you.

I feel like, and again, I'm making this up because as you can possibly imagine, I've done no research outside of doing like Derek Stefan DB enter on DuckDuckGo.

But I feel like Derek Stefan was like ostensibly brought in for like leadership because he was an older player who'd been around a bit.

And then he got here and was immediately like, nah, actually, fuck that.

I don't feel like it.

Yeah, I know.

he was overwhelmed by the force of brady kachuk's leadership and then and it was

also like something something coveted it's like yeah i don't like this either

which was the same for all of us by the way i have to say i'm surprised uh because you've left my first pick on the board hey um as a courtesy when i was drafting my sort of first team of the always man team I want to make it clear that I was prioritizing tenure.
