The Montreal White Men's Athletic Association hockey squadron started in 1909. which is 83 years ago, and the Tianto St. Barnabas, like, whatever the fuck they were when they first started, is 1917.
The 19-dickety-seven when the Kaiser took away the number one from dates.
So if you kind of, like, take the most recent team, these guys have a 75-year history head start on Ottawa like establishing a fucking fan base Ottawa mind you on the border of Quebec so you know mostly an English speaking city with tons of French people like to put that head start that they get into perspective it's it's still 24 more years before the debut of big chungus like we are going way back in time you know like i would say that's probably the biggest event that happened around that time like 24 years after 1917 i can't think of anything else weird that was happening mostly big chungus fast forward so basically like when you think about it, aside from everyone's like dad, that like some kind of freak original 16, like the Boston bears or the Detroit wheels, um, You basically have to turn against your own blood and friends to become a fan of your own fucking
city's team.

part of my family who pretends they live in toronto they live in a place called burlington one of the worst places i've ever been to my life
and i've been to gary
indiana um but uh yeah you basically have to start a holy war if you're over the age of like 30 something uh to cheer for your own fucking team and how are you repaid for that The fucking Montreal Canadas win the Stanley Cup in the first year that they exist.
