And in a way that things just feel a little bit harder and a little bit heavier than they probably should.

And I didn't have language for this at the time, which... is that living alone when you're already someone who struggles to feel at ease in your body, it amplifies everything.

It's just you and your thoughts and a stillness that sometimes can feel louder than actual noise.

I was working in retail banking at the time in a branch and I was working in a suburb where, how do I put this? The type of people that lived in this suburb often thought today, tonight and the current affair were gospel.

And they'd come in really wound up, ready to fight because people love to hate banks, right? And I get it.
