Supergirl (2026)

Now, before we get started, I should say, spoilers.

If you haven't seen it yet and you don't want to be spoiled, tough.

Or watch the film and then come back.

But also, here is the synopsis.

I have taken a page from Rad's book and I have prepared my own synopsis.

You're welcome, everyone.

I'm changing the world.

You are, truly.

Doing it Rad style.

Yeah.

Supergirl, played by Millie Alcock, is off-world celebrating her birthday by trying to out-drink her grief.

Meanwhile, on the same alien planet, Ruthie, Eve Ridley, a 13-year-old girl is watching her entire family be brutally murdered and she pledges to get vengeance on their attacker.

Supergirl and Ruthie then travel the galaxy trying to get vengeance for Ruthie's family and get the antidote for Kara's poisoned dog.

Lobo is also there for some reason, played by Jason Momoa.

Directed by Craig Gillespie, adapted by Anna Nogiera.

I feel like hearing your synopsis reveals to me from another angle just how different we are as people.

And how did you see it, Rad?

Well, I, for one, didn't clock the birthday thing until well towards the end, I would say.

I would have said something like, Supergirl, in brackets, not a girl but a woman version of Superman, not a man but a Kryptonian, is heaps drunk and traumatized but she gets roped into trying to avenge a young girl's family who got killed by a man with lots of metal dots in his face.

Cause that same metal faced man poisoned her dog in brackets, CGI dog though, close brackets, uh, Oh no, they must go to many spaces.

As in like in space, not just like different rooms or whatever.

Yeah, places in space.

For heavy hitting violence, revenge story, but also trying to be good.

It would have been better if I had time to actually write something that was just like off the top of my dome.

Like they're trying to be good or like the film is trying to be good? They're trying to be good.
