On this episode of The Sapphic AV Club, Alice, Rad and Jess discover their queer roots watching But I'm A Cheerleader (1999), a film that has them divided about the best ways to tackle serious subjects through media. Rad has a few problems with the film's inconsistent tone, Alice talks about the time she met Natasha Lyonne, and Jess provides a reminder that she is bisexual. Disclaimer: this episode was recorded while all members of the podcast were extremely sleepy, so they cannot be held responsible for their words. Was But I'm A Cheerleader a big part of your early days of queerness? Did you hate the film entirely? Have comments, concerns, feedback? Email us at sapphicavclub@gmail.com
