[upbeat music] Every hyphen, the graduates, the, the-- I feel like this is a word for everybody.
And when we look in 2 Timothy 1:5, it says, "When I call to remembrance the unfeigned faith that i- that is in thee, which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois, and thy mother Eunice; and I am persuaded that in thee also." Paul is writing here to his son in the faith, Timothy, and he, he pulls this word out called unfeigned, right? And that, that's a, that's a, that's a word that's in the, in the King James Version, and it means, in the Greek it actually means real.
And Paul traces it across three generations, that it was first with his grandmother, then his mother, and then in Timothy.
He's looking for real faith, genuine faith, faith that, that is willing to put down the mask.
He's looking for the real you this morning, not the w- not the person you pretend to be.
And, and I, and I just want to address that up front, and I'm just so thankful that He decides to show up.
That, that every age, every season, that every chair in here, Lord, would, would hear this word this morning.
God, I, I'm believing that people are gonna leave here changed, and, and I'm believing, Lord, that people are gonna leave here transformed.
