Fiachra O'ConnorGuestI am so delighted to welcome to our podcast today, the amazing Molly O'Keefe.
Molly's had the privilege of walking alongside individuals with intellectual disabilities and their natural supports over the past 25 years.
She's been fortunate to partner with individuals in different roles within academia through the development of the first full time third level course, inclusive employment, inclusive research projects, advocacy and change agency.
She's partnered with a range of organisations with regard to development of support models, and her current role is supporting decongregation and organisational change in line with human rights and Irish legislation and policy.
But Molly's biggest influence and source of inspiration continues to be as a family member, which drives her belief in the capacity of the person and the belief in inclusive communities where every citizen can belong and matter.
Together as a family, they continue to support each other based on a shared vision of what is possible.
Molly's journey to date has enabled wonderful opportunities with co-created spaces that honour the voice of the person and the role of natural supports.
She's the founder of Positive Pathways, a family leadership initiative within Ireland, supporting families to come together to plan and dream for the future.
And she's a founding member of the Inclusive Living Network, a path facilitator as a pathway to support the individual to lead what a good life looks like, which is what this podcast is entirely about, Molly, that right to an ordinary life.
And we're so delighted you've joined us today.
