and for it was my pick and i decided to go with akira well actually it's more like akira or akira

Yeah.

I was just telling Chris off mic, like, you know, that car brand Acura.

It's almost like it's kind of like the Acura, but with like instead of a U, like an I, like Acura.

I don't know.

I've always heard it pronounced as Akira.

Yeah.

And then in the movie, we watched the dubbed one.

They said Acura.

Yeah.

It's funny when you listen to the English dub, but whenever they say a Japanese name, like they really put that inflection on it.

Yeah.

And it's funny because.

That's something I noticed on not just this movie, but like anytime you watch a movie or like anything really that's in a different language.

You know, because they just do a one-for-one translation of, you know, nouns, verbs, adjectives, adverbs, you know.

But when it comes to proper nouns or proper names, that's when you hear the native language.

Because everybody, all the characters in this movie have very Japanese-sounding names.

Yes.

Kaneda.

Tetsuo.

Yeah.

Ferno, he has a very long last name.

Anyway.

And then we're doing themes.

We've been doing

themes more lately just because it keeps us on track for like, okay, we're going to do this this month.

So we're doing Animation August.

Yeah.

Which is hard for me.

So my pick was Akira, obviously.

I'm just going to call it Akira because it's easier to pronounce that way.

It's Akira.
