!The Republican Professor The post…
Lucas J. MatherHostYou know, this tape this morning, or it perhaps is even evening your afternoon as you're listening to it, but nonetheless is only 27, 28 minutes long, something along that line.
A little bit shorter than it's been in the past, Because I was in California just recently visiting the La Mesa restaurant, which is in the San Diego area, and Mike Flashel pointed out to me that it was kind of a false economy to, just because we have a blank site on the tape, that we don't have to fill it in.
In fact, he even had it computed as to how much it would cost.
to have all of his staff listen to both sides of that tape.
So, Mike, thank you for the suggestion, and I'll remember that old joke about the fact you don't feed the entire bale of hay when there's just one or two persons that come to the altar or to the feed trough.
This morning, I've asked Jim Sharon, who's our president and our chief operating officer in Mr. Steak Incorporated here in Denver, to come along so that you could get to know him a little bit.
I'm sure that many of you have met him as he's visited in the restaurants.
but to share a little bit from his corporate point of view as to what's taking place in Mr. Steak.
And let me just, by way of introducing Jim, let me describe him to those of you that haven't met him.
Physically, he's about six foot tall.
He says he is six foot tall, but for some reason he doesn't look that tall to me.
He has black hair, no gray hair, and I don't know whether he tints it or what, but I know that he doesn't have the gray hair like I do.
And he is a slim build.
And he's kind of the type of person that seems like always is happy.
Seems like things are always going right for Jim.
He seems to kind of carry that type of aura about him.
And I believe this must have started when, I don't know whether it was the genes that he had when he was born or what, but Jim has always been a driving type of person, but able to discipline himself.
And he worked and practiced.
And later on in high school, with the same kind of perseverance, he was named All-State in basketball.
As such, he won a full scholarship to the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
