Um, Again, say the same thing I said in episode four, which is if you don't like what's happening in your state, your local elections can absolutely make the most impact.

You can elect a new house rep that is going to go against that issue, or you can elect a new senator.

Now, House Rep is the easiest person to change in the state government because they have a much smaller district, which means that a lot less people have to be mad in order to change it.

So, short version again, a state legislator is part of the state government that writes, debates, and passes laws.

In most states, including Tennessee, it has two chambers, a House and a Senate.

So while governors often get the public attention, Most long-term state policy begins with legislators deciding what becomes law and what never makes it out of committee.
