This week we’re diving into chapters 6-8 of Rivals – meeting all of our main characters We talk about the all-round perfection that is Bas Baddingham (and, surprisingly, Danny Dyer); our speculations…
Last episode, we met most of our characters for this book.
Now, it's time to meet the rest of them and see what happens when they all get a little tipsy and get in a room together.
[laughs]
And although Rutshire still doesn't technically exist yet, what could be more Rutshire than the first get-together we get to go to being a drinks reception at the residence of Lord Baddingham before the annual Hunt Ball? [laughs]
[laughs] Very Rutshire.
On the invite list, Tony and Monica, obviously, they are our hosts for tonight.
Baz Baddingham, Tony's very naughty younger brother.
Lizzy and James Verica, who we know.
And Rupert Campbell-Black and Beattie Johnson, the man who needs no introduction, and his current squeeze, the scandal-loving journalist.
[laughs]

Oh.

Oh, don't you just love that?
Oh, yes.
[laughs] We should all walk around with an air that life's a tremendous adventure.
It is a tremendous adventure.
It is.
It is.
We should.
