So you're sitting with the possibility of retirement, but that's also not a clean decision.

Can you take us through that?

Um, I was injured last year.

My hip was deteriorating, and man, you know, you're never gonna stop learning how to advocate for yourself.

Uh, I had a coach that was pressuring me to train through the pain, and I knew better, but I kept thinking, "Oh, you know, younger me, it'll hurt for a bit.

I'll take the time.

I'll recover." But let me tell y'all, um, the tread on the tires gets used up.

It, it does.

So, like, you get to your 40s, and you need to be selective about pushing through that pain and avoid it at all costs if you can.

Uh, it cost me my hip.

Uh, I lost all the cartilage in my hip, and May 5th, Cinco de Mayo- I had a hip replacement.

So as long as this recovery goes well and I can start training, I will potentially attempt a comeback.

If I don't get, you know, a full-time job and security and other things, um, then it makes sense for me to go back to maintain my health insurance, uh, opportunities, and remind these kids that I was the best this country's ever seen.

Because I feel like, I feel like potentially the injury and-

the way things went down last year made me feel like they forgot, and I think it'd be fun.

I love racing.

Mm.

I love it so much.

And, um, I'm not gonna lie, part of what I love is talking ish.
