The angle that I think we both took for this was former Red Sox or White Sox prospects that have since been lost or traded away.
I went with Brandon Clark, uh, now a left-handed pitching prospect in the Cardinals organization.
Brandon Clark was someone who had a lot of helium at the start of last year, uh, as a someone to keep an eye on, uh, prospect on the rise.
Dealt with injuries last year, so that didn't get to come to fruition, but still had enough upside to be, uh, one of the bigger pieces in a move for a middle of the rotation starter for Boston, uh, to acquire Sonny Gray, like I said.
Uh, the rest has been at high A. He's pitched, this is overall on the season so far, 38 innings to a 4 ERA with a 3.36 FIP, uh, 35% K rate.
I believe it was 60 strikeouts over those 38 innings, and he is walking 16% of batters, which brings me to the takeaway on Brandon Clark.
From the left-handed side, you can see how there is a high-end reliever profile kind of blooming here, um, because the third pitch in a changeup is fringy at best right now.
