Before we start, the big question may be, so what is the PMP exam content outline? Well, here is my explanation.
The PMP exam content outline defines the PMP exam syllabus through domains, tasks, and enablers.
This will become much clearer as we go through this presentation here, and you'll see what exactly I mean.
But the main statement here is really this: the PMP exam is based on the ECO.
Um, sort of a summary statement, a global statement would be that, well, if it isn't represented in the ECO, then PMI will not intentionally build questions to test it.
Uh, for example, if you are managing a software project, writing the actual software code, well, that is critically important to the success of your project.
But software coding, software coding is not explicitly mentioned as a task here in the ECO, and, and PMI is not suddenly going to ask you to prove your coding prowess because it's not mentioned.
They will, however, test you on managing the risks, uh, in regards to coding, managing quality in regards to coding as part of your project management job, and of course, managing the teams and the people of software developers and coders, because that is part of your job as a project manager.
