Week 37 and things are getting HEAVY. My belly is huge, I’m uncomfortable, the lightning crotch and Braxton Hicks are happening constantly, and sleep definitely wasn’t great this week. But weirdly?…

Again, I'm not a pregnancy expert, but according to my app, my pregnancy app, it's a full born, full term baby.

My belly is like very big, very uncomfy, lots of lightning crotch and lots of Braxton Hicks contractions this week.

And it's making me kind of nervous because I'm like, how am I going to know when I'm actually in labor if I'm constantly uncomfortable? But my midwife was like, you're going to know, you'll just know.

But yeah, I mean, other than the discomfort of being extremely pregnant, this week continues to be pretty good in terms of like comparing to the rest of my pregnancy.

And I think that it really has been such a huge part of why I'm feeling better is I've been supplementing with the Thorne Advanced Iron Complex iron bisglycinate each night.

And I really think that has helped so much in feeling less tired and less food averse and having more energy.

And so I think the fact that I'm working out less intensely is has helped to reduce hepcidin, which is an inflammatory marker that kind of gets spiked after a hard workout that can inhibit the absorption of iron.

So I think all of these things together of like the less intense workouts slash more resties paired with the iron supplementation, I'm taking about 72 milligrams of of that iron bisglycinate each night.

I'm being really intentional about not pairing that iron with calcium, caffeine, zinc, not taking it with my prenatal.

I know we've talked about this in the past, but just really want to reiterate this.
