I'm actually recording this on the first day of week 37, so I've kind of entered 37, but reflecting on this week of 36 and I am very excited to continue to report that I am feeling well.

I know we talked last week a lot about how I think going into This final stretch of pregnancy prioritizing rest and restoring my nervous system has made a really big difference in how I've been feeling.

But I think just for me, because those aches and pains are kind of fleeting, they come and go compared to the constant exhaustion and nausea and like food averse feeling that I had for so much of pregnancy.

I think if you have not had the pleasure of experiencing Braxton Hicks or lightning crotch yet, you will appreciate the sentiment of how crazy I sound once you get to have that experience, if you get to have that experience.

But I am just so happy to not be like a zombie, to not be exhausted, to not be nauseous and grossed out by food.

I also think like, and this is a little bit correlated to what my midwife told me, but the baby's growth slows down at around week 36.

And I think that in combination with the fact that like mileage for week 36 was at seven and a half miles.

So I had planned on trying to get to 10 and then I had run two days, got to seven and a half miles.

And I thought that was like a really big personal win for me because I definitely think in the past, the vanity metric of hitting the double digits would have outweighed my desire to kind of honor my body and what my body needed from me.
