"The biggest achievement of my life...... it's about taking personal responsibility" Jaz shares her experience of her wild pregnancy and freebirth to her and Issak's first baby, Sage. Within this…
yeah what are you most proud of Jaz?
Obviously giving birth
to Sage and within that what are you most proud of?
yeah just like kind of being a bit stoic and saying true to myself and knowing that I could do this and yeah I just think that whole process I feel really really proud of and yeah yeah
how do you think that moving forward in life how is this experience going to impact and shape you
Well, I just feel like I can kind of, I can do anything really.
And just, yeah, birth is the continuum of life.
And so when I feel a bit, I don't know, like stressed or wavering in my life, character i guess i feel like i can come back to the surrendering which is of birth it's constant surrendering not not giving up but just the surrender flow state and you know like birth is such a blip in time and now it's mothering every day and
every day all day
every day all day all night yes yes There are times where I need to surrender,
like,
okay, we're not going to go out because Sage is having a moment and I need to be there for him because I'm his safe person.
And we're also practicing aware parenting or trying our very best.
So does that include the toilet training?
Yeah, AC, yeah.
I have had some success.
He has a little potty and I can read his cues when he needs to go.
Doing Mimi is pretty hard to catch all the time.
Yeah.
Yeah, so that's part of it.
What else does a wee parenting involve?
So it's kind of like attachment style parenting.
It's non-punitive and it's, yeah, it's about attending to and observing the baby's needs and inner knowing.
it's basically seeing them as a competent being that they're not goo goo gaga, stupid baby, you know? And it's kind of like, yeah, it's yeah.
About seeing them as divine beings, just as we are and that they have their own will free will.
