There was an event, I think it was for Cliffhanger, where the police abseiled down the front of a building.
still framing all the way around it both inside and out with these amazing mirrors that and you could see the cinema through those they weren't mirrors they were windows you could see the windows looking out but it was up quite high it was three stories and yeah with cliffhanger i don't know how it came about i can't remember how it came about but i do remember getting in trouble because We had searchlights outside, right, which nobody does anymore probably for this reason.
We reached out to the police rescue squad at the time to see if they would do an abseiling demonstration down the front of the building, which they did and it was fantastic and had these searchlights roaming because it was looking for them.
And, yeah, we ended up getting in trouble from the aviation department of Perth Airport because these lights were going into the sky far too high.
There's been lots of previews that I loved, but probably the one that I take most pride in is The Patriot, which of course starred Aaron Heathley.
And Heath had already been in Australia to do Public Brose, and he'd gone on to his next film.
But we had, because Heath obviously is a Perth boy and his family here, we were lucky enough to source the original costumes.
And in my wisdom, at the time, my assistant and I decided that we would fill the space frames that I was talking about over the candy bar.
And we decided we're going to fill them with red, white and blue American Patriot balloons.
