Tasha Tah : From Musician To Multi Million Empire |Ep.83

that I'm not dropping that track.

So for me, the, the crux of everything, the heart of everything is the music.

So I think getting your bones right with the music is important.

And also who you're surrounded with, because I was very lucky that I was groomed from an early age that, you know, the industry is dirty.

It can be filthy.

Uh, people try and sleep with you or people try on with you.

So I was already trained, uh, to have my guard up, my barrier up to be able to be like, you know what, fuck, get the fuck out of here.

Don't even bother trying it with me.

Yeah.

But,

Sorry to cut you off, just on that note, have you ever gone through any of that in the music industry?

Of course.

But I'm powerful and strong and I'm going to be like, no.

Hence why I've always been an independent artist.

And I've paid for my own songs, my videos, my production.

I put myself out there.

So I've never depended on anyone.

Because the minute you start depending on anyone, like a producer or a so-called...

PR manager or quote unquote manager, they get you stuck in a loop, right? They'll get you stuck in a loop where you keep going to the studio, you're writing songs, you're doing this, you're doing that.

And then your music's not coming up because they're promising to launch pad you out there, make you some superstar.

And your music's not coming out.

Why is it not coming out? Because one, they're probably broke.

It's so hard to sit

here and listen and then not say, can you not mention the name? Yeah, I know.

No, I'm not doing that.
