I had Secrets To Scaling Your E-commerce Brand, which is now the unofficial TikTok Shop podcast, and we have just gone all in on TikTok Shop, but social commerce in general, right? Like it's this incredibly new...
Really truly believe that with social commerce, that there is a social commerce singularity that brands cannot see past.
I saw this back in like 2019 when we realized, and this was one of my early guests on my podcast that has like 800 episodes now, and one of the early guests on there was telling me how with their Facebook group they were selling out launches and it was also a baby clothing company.
I was like, "Tell me about that." They're like, "Yeah, well we have this like VIP group."
[laughs] Like, it was like they have this VIP group and somehow they're selling out these like massive collections and I was like, okay, well I gotta like figure that out.
And to me that was really the early days of social commerce, right? Of realizing how you tap into these people that then become the people that sell products for you.
Like I call TikTok Shop and social commerce, like it is the multi-level marketing of 2026.
Like that's what it is, right? And if, so if you can tap into that psychology and figure out how to get other people to sell for you, that's really what this is right now, right? And they're gonna be posting content anyway.
