And so we all worked in the financial industry, but none of us were actually down in that hub where a lot of firms, including myself, including the firm that you and I wound up both working for, was based.
So what I remember, the two things I remember most distinctively about the day was one, sitting in my cubicle just as a junior employee, and I kind of had like, you have like a real-time scrolling news type of deal going on.
And one of the people on our team had like an old two-box TV, like not a flat screen, just like a small TV in the corner of the office.
And I remember like as we're standing there, as if people remember, right, then we're watching it.
And you're just sort of, they're covering it, trying to get a sense of what's going on.

So the only thing we could physically see about the towers is if you walked across town and you look south, the towers were tall enough that they were framed.
So for weeks after the attack, that framing of the towers was replaced by a plume of smoke that just never went out.
So if you just walk past, you would just look, it'd be like this giant plume of smoke.
But the second thing that I remember after, you know, obviously you're seeing the trauma of, okay, this is not just small plane hits World Trade Center.
