I was asked to respond to 3 emails recently at work. In each, I paused, stopped what I would usually have done, and applied the techniques I use for facilitating improv classes. Did it work?!?!

[jazzy music] So I tried applying some improv coaching techniques to giving feedback to people in my office.
One, the high-flying world of corporate improv comedy with the usual mundane humdrum of working in an office, Dolly Parton style.
I've got three examples, and I just want to, I guess, explain my thought process with it, how it was delivered, and then how potentially it was received, although you never really know how people internalize these things, just like giving improv coaching in real-life improv classes.
So the backstory of this is I received two emails from colleagues of mine, colleagues who I really do like and colleagues who I get on with personally and pr- respect professionally as well.
