Discussing the 2026 PWI 500

This episode is about Pro Wrestling Illustrated's annual list of 500, the top 500 wrestlers worldwide, as determined by Pro Wrestling Illustrated.

They've been doing this list for...

since 1991.

I think it's an expansion of their weekly heavyweight list.

Which, dead serious, I used to go to the store every week and just read the magazine to see how people were ranking week to week.

I think it was a bigger deal back in the day and now it's really just...

this list along with the uh i think it's a female 250 with the women's 250 and they have like a tag team top 100. so when those come out you'll probably hear something from us probably um what are your thoughts on the list in general just as as as a list in general not specific we're gonna get it we got enough to say we got enough to say

about yeah um i don't know as a whole it's It's a lot because like you and I had talked about before the show, there's a lot of names on here I've never heard of.

And we watch a lot of freaking wrestling.

And we watch a lot of wrestling that's not the big two.

There's a lot of guys that we've talked about on this show that aren't on the list.

There's that, but there are some from Ohio Valley Wrestling, from JCW, from Mystery Wrestling.

Mind you, these smaller places, OVW and JCW, there's a crossover.

Some of them go from here and there.

They still do independent bookings.

They'll get booked on a show for TNA or WWE.

You'll see them in dark matches or The jobbers that get beat down in like 4.8 seconds.

I mean, it's these guys.

Or they'll do like Maple Leaf Pro or they'll do World Series Wrestling.

There's a lot of wrestling out there.

That's where a lot of these names come from.

But there's a lot of familiar names on this list to us.

Yes.

So you can imagine for those who only watch WWE.

God forbid.
