Folks, go rewind, hit that go back button six times and go listen to that again.
You kind of lay out a path or you just laid out a path where you said you could choose to be a therapist too.
is stuck in the good, bad, right, wrong, I'm hurting people with my fees, my desires, crush them down reality.
And if I'm doing well, I'm literally hurting people who are being forced to come in somehow and pay me $600.
Or you could let

What do I want? How do I want to live? I believe in a world where I can go towards what I want, or at least try, and that will be reflected in my work, thoughtfully and consciously.
And I think the second option, even as our listener is listening, might bring up fear in them.
if I go after my own desire, I will become the person who I currently hate or an envious of, or as a representation of badness.
Well, I just want to note the black and white thinking, right? If I'm not held back by these constraints of me believing at the core, I'm exploitative and selfish and then I'm going to turn into Jeff Bezos.
Those are the two options available to us, right? I have to force it all down and keep a lid on myself because I'm selfish and bad and gluttonous, or I'll let it all go and I'll just take everything for myself.
That's, again, a really good mirror for you to take up with yourself.
I would imagine there are other parts of you that could conceptualize a different reality where perhaps you... believe and can conceptualize that there are parts of you that simply want more and can do so in a way that honors your needs and your clients, right? If we actually had to believe that you could do this and that you could do this in a way that was fair and kind and loving and clinically considerate, what does that mean for the conversations you have? What does that mean for the way you might hold someone through their experience of this potential rupture, right? Like then we actually talk about the tangibles and the what to do's because all of a sudden you are not rooted in, I'm bad, I'm gluttonous, I can never do this.
It's actually, I have wants and needs and my life is mine.
And so if that's the case, I'm gonna operate from that place.
And also that, you know, I am a good and kind person and I think about these things.
then how do I actually have the conversations? What do I actually do to make sure this is safe, doable, considerate, right? Like there's a third option in there instead of just Jeff Bezos or I'm all bad.
