I love the older translation, but in the parable, Jesus described a farmer with a field of wheat, And then some people got into the field and did an act of vandalism and planted tares or weeds to destroy the crop.
And then the farmer's assistant complained and said, what are we supposed to do now that we have wheat and tares together? And he said, an enemy has done this.
And then he said, let them stay together, the weeds and the wheat, until the harvest comes and then we'll separate them and the wheat will go to the ultimate place of good and the tares will be burned and destroyed.
