Claire GibsonHostSo, uh, to Julie's mind, we went through this phase about 10 years ago where online learning was all about complex interactive simulations, but then rapid authoring tools came along and made it super easy to present text and images, no decision-making.
Uh, those tools got better, but then mobile requirements got back, got in the way, and we went back to text and images.
And then mobile design tools improved, but demands on accessibility made interactivity more complicated.
Uh, now most of the AI course generation tools that we've seen lean into text and graphics or some version of text, so, uh, content chunked into accordions or slideshows or flip cards or text reveals, that kind of thing.
So it's something that looks kind of like what we might call a course or a learning, but the user never has to think or make any kind of choice of any kind.
And so workplace learning is reduced to retaining information that you've consumed and is not based on what we know works, which is making decisions, getting feedback, and trying again.
