London's municipal election campaigns are heating up. Here's what to know.

OK, let's move on to the ward candidates.

You know, we've got 14 wards in the city.

Have any of the boundaries changed, first of all?

A few of them have.

Thank you for reminding me.

You know, it's worth, you know, if you're trying to get ready for voting day, which I believe the first advanced vote option opens on October 1st.

That's not that far away, only a couple of weeks.

It's worth double checking where you are and what ward you're in because it may have changed.

Council voted to adjust the boundaries to take effect, you know, effectively October 27th, the day after the election or when council is sworn in.

So you could be in a different ward this year.

Just check your boundaries.

Exactly.

Some pretty big changes in the south end.

Ward 14 is swallowing up everything south of the 401 this year.

Ward 1 is eating up Old East Village, and Ward 4 is being pushed further north.

Ward 5 is moving west a little bit.

And I've been hearing from a couple candidates that, you know, They're surprised to hear at the door that they are going to be living in a different ward next election.

So, yes, worth double checking.

And, you know, you might see some different faces at the door as opposed to, you know, whoever's your councillor right now.

Absolutely.

Yeah.

OK.

Are any of the wards uncontested this year? Will anybody be acclaimed?

No, no city councillors will be acclaimed this year.

Uh, and there's only one race of the 14, uh, where it's just two candidates and that is ward one where Hadley McAllister, the current ward one councillor is running again.
