Who gets what when you’re gone?

Now look, generally, Louise...

Before a race, you might spend time checking your gear, you might get a feel for the location, you make sure you're eating and drinking really well, that you're nice and relaxed and ready to go.

But Louise, you spent time updating your will.

Yes.

Did you really think you were going to die? Well, the event was a Sunday morning early and I spent Saturday afternoon updating my will.

It was Australia, so there were snakes.

And I hadn't given that much thought and everyone said they hadn't seen them.

Then my brother went on a bike ride and saw a snake in the middle of the path and I thought, well, You know, things happen.

You were also

worried about falling off a cliff at one point.

I

was a little bit.

Yeah.

Well, just collapsing.

I didn't know how hard it was going to be.

One of my kids had actually witnessed someone collapse and they needed CPR literally that morning and called us in Australia and they needed CPR and a defib.

And look, he did survive, which is great news.

But I just thought, shit, these things happen and there will be no defib in the mountains in Victoria.

Yeah.

And so my will, I thought, was horribly out of date.

So I made a new one that afternoon and the lovely people at Bright Visitor Centre printed it for me because

you need to bloody print them and get them

signed.

So as it turned out, my brother and his partner also needed their new wills witnessed and signed when we got back to Melbourne.

So we kind of had a bit I love
