How Much I Made In One Crazy 24 Hour Marketing Experiment

So two weeks ago now, I did something a little bit wild that I haven't done before, and it ended up being just this glorious marketing exp- e- experiment, and I love a freaking good experiment.

So for me, the idea came through around 8:00 PM one night.

The idea was I was gonna send out hourly emails for one day, each with different offers and discount codes many have never offered before, and all with a ticking time bomb expiry of just 24 hours.

And I even gave people the option to send, like, for people to send me offers of what they wanted and for how much, and I was gonna start right that moment.

So I said to my husband, "Hey, I've got this idea and I think I'm gonna do it" and he's like, "Great." And I was like, "I'm gonna do it tonight." And he was like, "Oh, tonight? It's...

But it's 8:00 PM and you're gonna send emails hourly?" And I was like, "Uh-huh.

Wanna stay up till midnight with me and ride this wild donkey?" And he was like, "Sure, why not?" And so I ended up sending this email to my list.

It says, "Dearest, I'm sitting here talking to my husband as we watch Taskmaster.

It's then that it happens, this wild, fangly idea.

I get that crazy look in my eyes and he knows that, what that means.

I am riding the wild donkey and I am making it happen." Now, if you don't know what riding the wild donkey means, it's something that I came up with, like, 15 years ago, and people still talk about how much it's changed their life.

It's still a process that I use.

My husband and I sat together just binging copious amounts of British TV, like Taskmaster, Cuckoo, Outsiders, while I wrote emails and illustrated cartoons to go into the emails and came up with offers.

And then with each email I'd send as well, I would give updates on how the wild offer night of wild donkey riding was going.

And it ended up just kind of being this kind of hilarious and glorious live stream over email, and so many people told me how much they got out of it just by reading those emails and also feeling the energy of it all.

And I was sending photos, and it was just hilarious and funny.
