The Leafs trade Colorado's 2027 first-round pick, a 2027 second, Tinus, Luke Koblar, and Denis Hildeby to the Rangers for Vincent Trocheck.
I'm going to save my thoughts on Vincent Trocheck as a trade target until next week when Michael's back because we want to do a whole discussion on that.
But from a pure valley st- value standpoint, I actually think this is quite fair.
I'd say that it seems as if the Rangers want a roster player, so I'd probably adjust it slightly.
I don't think they'd want a goalie prospect either.
They have Shesterkin.
So I'd probably make it something like Colorado's 2027 first and, uh, 2027 second, Tinus, Luke Koblar, and Nick Robertson.
So give them something to help them now.
I've read that the Rangers want a roster player bla- back, so that's what Robertson gives them.
My only thing is I don't think the Rangers would accept this.
They would probably want a higher value asset, something like a top prospect instead of a second and Koblar.
So what I've seen floated from the Rangers' side is Colorado's 2027 first, Nick Robertson, and Ben, Ben Danford.
That would probably be their ask.
So maybe the original proposal feels like somewhere in between, between those two kinda sides there.
The Leafs do need a C, and Trocheck is a legitimate two C, so I'll give this a seven out of ten on realism, just because we know the, the Leafs have called on Trocheck, and they do need a two C.
But on how much I like the player, I'm giving this a four out of ten, just because I don't like the Trocheck fit on the Leafs.
He's old.
He's slow.
But that'll-- that's a little teaser for next week's episode.

The Leafs trade Joseph Woll and a second-round pick to the Ducks for Olin Zellewager and Frank Vatrano.
This is too much from the Leafs' perspective.
Zellewager was a healthy scratch for most of the playoffs, and Vatrano didn't play a single game.
The Ducks also don't need a goalie.
