As a generalist who's building a portfolio career, I've actually acquired a pretty big toolbox.

And that actually makes it pretty difficult to articulate in one line what problems I help companies solve for because I'm so fixated on, I can do this and I can do this and I'm passionate about this and I'm passionate about that.

And when this question surfaced of, What am I doing that is helping or hindering me from achieving what matters most? As a curious person, I think this is actually a question that I can experiment around a little bit with and lead my brand with it.

Because not only does it apply on the individual level where I help leaders effectively lead the leader within so that they can lead others, but it can actually be applied to the team and organizational level.

I like to zoom in and then zoom out at the same time? Because it's all connected in some way, shape, or form as companies continue to figure out how do they effectively lead through ambiguity and as the world of work continues to evolve.

This question also ties into experimenting through coaching, mentorships, therapy and podcasting, I've noticed a few things that can actually get in the way of experimenting, whether it's perfectionism, a lack of self-compassion and or grace, a fear of failure, a lack of patience, focusing too much on what other people think, a lack of trust.

Sharing some of the things that I have already with you, it might actually give you a little bit of glimpse into the mental gymnastics that I've been working through over the last month or so.

And And hey, if my body burned the amount of calories that come with mental gymnastics, I'd be ripped right now instead of feeling exhausted at times.

And that's a lesson I'm continuously learning how to navigate is how do I actually minimize the mental gymnastics that are hindering me from achieving what matters most? That's also tied into my professional coaching training program and what I've learned along the way.
