From THE JUSTIN HAMILTON PODCAST, Alexei was tasked by Justin to think about his favourite trailers to movies (whether the film is good or not is irrelevant, this is all about the trailers). So they…

Hello, and welcome to another episode of The Last Video Store, the show where I, Alexi Toliopoulos, talk to cool people about their favorite films.
And this is one of our off weeks, where we are in between an episode coming out with a great guest.
But I want to put something, a bit of a recommendation from me onto you into the feed, and this week I'm putting into the feed a podcast I recorded with one of my best mates, Justin Hamilton.
If you don't know Justin Hamilton, he is a longtime comedic great of Australian standup, uh, who also has been a longtime podcaster.
He was podcast- his first podcast, Can You Take This Photo Please?, was one of the first Australian podcasts I really got into.
In fact, he was someone who collaborated with me on my standup solo show debut, VHS, very much so.
Uh, in particular, if you've seen the show, uh, one extended rant of, uh, me talking about an often repeated piece of music that is used in way too many films began as a rant that I delivered directly to Justin Hamilton on a train after I saw it in a movie for what would be the 19th time, and it pissed me off.
So I love Justin Hamilton, and his podcast, The Justin Hamilton Podcast, is great.
He usually puts out more than one episode a week, and I'm a regular on it.
And this episode that I'm putting onto this feed is all about our favorite trailers.
Every time you go to the cinema, you probably see four of them, maybe five, depending on if they were, the cinema was able to buy enough ad space [chuckles] to advertise local businesses or not.
But trailers are important to film, and I'm someone who actually does not pay that much attention to trailers, but I always want to have a talk about them.
I'm fascinated by them, and Justin and I had a great chat, I think about six of our favorite trailers ever.
And we tried to keep it pretty diverse with what each trailer was doing, and not just in the kind of films that they were advertising, but in how they're constructed.
Uh, I'm so glad it's getting to live in this feed and you guys can all hear it.
But use this as a point to jump into many of my other discussions with Justin Hamilton about film on his podcast, The Justin Hamilton Podcast.
He's doing some really fun, interesting stuff on there, very varied conversations.
And to me, he's just, like, one of the funniest great conversationalists there is.
I never have a better time than when I talk to Justin Hamilton, and hopefully that means we can get him on this podcast pretty soon too.
