And so that's what we're talking about in terms of helping them understand identity.

children, by the time they get to us, they have moved around a lot, haven't they? That's a very normal story.

So talk us through what would be kind of an average kind of movement of a child, how that would impact your identity.

I mean, a young person at the age of 14 could have had 14 different placements.

And if that's happened since the age of five, who are you? And we ask the children that, don't we? Tell me about yourself.

What do they have to tell us outside of, I'm a young person who's in care and I've lived in all of these different houses of all of these different people how do you create a sense of belonging and a true sense of self when you haven't had consistency in your life to build foundations for who you are and a safe platform uh In which you can kind of springboard from and explore the world when it changes so frequently.

You know, how do you lay down roots? How do you have connections? How do we have friends? If every six to 12 months I live somewhere new.
