Do you wear leather?
I had old leather jackets of my dad's, but I have never intentionally gone out and bought leather.
I think I'm at the point where I would probably not buy it firsthand, but if there was something in a nice charity shop, I'd probably buy that, because good leather, properly taken care of, can last for ages.
True, true.
Most of my real leather stuff I buy either used or... vintage.
I don't think I've bought new leather and part of it is laziness just because I can't be bothered to do the initial treatment steps and wearing in.
I had a leather jacket once.
In 2016 I went to a vintage shop in Nottingham and found a gold leather jacket for £10 and I wore it quite literally until it went green.
That sounds so amazing.
It was good.
And even now, if you get the wrong stock, they're still fake leather.
Oh, yeah.
Well, yeah, the older vintage DMs you can buy, the better.
So, yes, and they're already pre-worn in, so you're not going to blister up your feet.
Yeah, let somebody else do the damage.
And, you know, the joy of leather is that you can just always treat it.
And it's lovely and soft when it's, you know, nice, nice treated leather.

It's one of my unpopular opinions because as a knitter, people have been trying to sell me cotton as vegan cashmere.
People have been trying to tell me that it's cruel to shear sheep.
