Philippians 4

last chapter of Philippians four,

rejoice in the Lord.

I'm going to share a few notes.

Yeah.

The first thing, rejoice in the Lord always.

So delight in him, take pleasure in him.

And I wrote down this question.

What does that look like? Delight in his presence rather than his gift.

The Bible tells us in Philippians 4, Paul tells us to rejoice in the Lord always.

I think sometimes we determine our rejoicing based off, or not even rejoicing, we delight, we handle our delight based on how we feel and what's going on around us.

But we have to choose worship even when life isn't going the way that we hoped.

So how do we delight or how do we rejoice in the Lord always, right? By gratitude.

by praising him, by remembering his goodness and his faithfulness.

I wrote rejoicing the Lord isn't pretending everything is okay, but it's intentionally fixing your heart on the one who remains good, even when everything around you isn't.

Joy isn't found in our circumstances.

It's found in our Savior.

So rejoice in the Lord.

And I want you to really be intentional about how you're going to rejoice in God this week.

What will your rejoicing look like? Will you be delighting in his presence, praising in his gifts? So when's the last time? And I'm asking myself this, like, when's the last time you just sat in God's presence? You didn't ask him for anything, but you said, God, these are the things that you are for me.

You just worshiped him.

You didn't ask him for anything, but you just worshiped him and you just sowed in his presence and you allowed him to love on you.

You allowed him to sing sweet songs over you, right? Are you going to choose worship this week? I am going to play worship music all week this week.

I really want to just engulf.

I want to make my environment just a place of worship.

Once the last time you just said, God, I thank you.
