You haven't even got to Ireland yet, but you had quite the incident in Albany, right, trying to get, or you had quite the incident in Washington, D.C., was it?

One of the major things I learned on this trip was don't take a connecting flight to a major airport.

If you can get a direct flight to Ireland, it definitely cuts out a lot of potential problems.

We had a maintenance issue on the aircraft, took them an hour and a half to fix.

Then we arrived at Washington Dulles, And there was a wild thunder and lightning storm going on, so none of the workers could go out on the ramp, and we were delayed there.

Because they couldn't have workers on the flight line, the airplane that we were taking to Ireland couldn't leave.

I made out there early the next day, and our plan was to see my cousin Porik and Maggie the first day there.

We had to skip that, and that's when we decided just to go straight up to Giants Causeway from there.
rent a car.

No, we rented a small Ford Transit, if I remember last time we were there, because we had the kids.

And, you know, we had the iPad for navigation because it didn't have it in the vehicle at the time.

We took some adventures with the iPad navigation, downloading a map that were not intended.
