Three stories you need to know today. Russia hit Kyiv's Northern Bridge a day after repeated strikes on the Southern Bridge, turning the Dnipro crossings into a target set alongside the winter energy…
So what? I mean, the first takeaway for me here is that they don't have enough air defense to stop these drones coming in, right? There's been a spike in the use of jet-powered drones, which can be hit targets much more freely than their previously used Shahid-style drones.
Someone told me off for using the word Shahid, but hey, they fucking look like them.
I don't know.
But yeah, anyway, so a lack of air defense here, that's kind of the key issue to me that now Russia can now like deliberately strike such key positions within the capital.
Yeah.
It's definitely going to like just cause chaos and make life a bit more annoying for people in Kiev.
But at the end of the day, they can be repaired reasonably easily if they aren't completely destroyed, which is, you know, something possibly that Russia may attempt to do.
It is likely a move to just try and like make life a bit more shit for the residents of Kiev, as well as strain logistics and movement within the city.
I think a full-scale collapse of all the bridges is possible, but over a much more extended period of time.
But yeah, I don't think it's going to happen anytime soon.
