Now, if you look at the language around goals, you know, it's destination type language.

You know, you hit the number, you get the promotion, you sell the company, you write the book, you lose your weight, you run the marathon, you reach the summit.

But the danger, I think, is that we start to believe the value of the experience sits almost entirely in getting to the finish line.

And of course, anybody who's ambitious for their life or their work knows what often happens next is that you arrive at that there point, that finish line, and you enjoy it for a little bit.

But then your mind spots or looks for the next mountain, the next climb, the next summit.
