Alright team, so the first thing I want to talk to you about is your best people, they honestly don't leave for the money.

So, a lot of business owners or consultancy owners feel like they've got to pay people to hang around, they've got to do bonuses, they've got to pay people more to keep them in their business.

And yes, pay is a certain factor in why people stay or go, but it's honestly almost never the reason that most people leave your business.

So, Yeah, when someone hands in their notice or hands in their resignation, that was terrible.

So when someone hands in their notice or hands in their resignation letter, we tell ourselves they've got a better offer or they're getting paid more or they've got a better deal somewhere.

And sometimes that's true, but most of the time, People who leave your business, they've checked out long ago, and they checked out long before money actually came into it.

And so you've got to think about it through the lens of your best people, your highest performers.

And the moment either the business stops growing or the moment either you stop communicating the future vision of the team, the business, them in their role, where you see them in two years time, they feel like they've stopped growing too.

And if there's no clear direction in their business, you know, no next steps for them, no next steps for the team that they're leading or the next steps for a new business unit or something like that.

And what happens is they, you know, they go and find a business that does have a future, that does have a vision, that does have something that they can see themselves fitting inside.

It's like growth is the single biggest reason people stay and no growth is the single biggest reason people leave.

So a growing business, an exciting business, an evolving business, that gives somewhere in your team or a place where people feel like they've got to grow within.

And if they feel like the business is stalling, stagnant, they haven't been communicated the vision in a while, they're going to up and leave because they can't see themselves or their future within your business.
