If every process, every answer, every "how do we do this again" runs through you, you haven't built a business. You've built a job. In this episode I break down why a business that only works when…

All right, so the first thing I want to talk to you about is if the business only works because of you, you've actually unfortunately built a job, you haven't built a business.

And so if you're the, I guess, human operating manual for your own business, then today's episode is going to be super relevant to you.

So when every process lives in your head, when you're the single point of failure, it If you're not there and the wheels start to wobble, every new person that you bring into the business has to come and ask you how everything's done.

So instead of freeing you up, hiring people actually makes you busier for a while because everything lives in your head.

When we have to do things from scratch every single time, when there's no processes, when there's, how do we do this? I'll go and ask the boss.

And so the business can only ever move as fast as you can actually answer the questions that come at you from all different angles from your team members.

And because nothing's written down, everyone quietly invents their own way of doing things.

So you end up with like five different people's ways of doing the same task, five different ways.

And a business that only works when you're in the room isn't actually an asset to you.

It's a job that you just happen to own and have taken all the risk for and taken all the stress for.

We want the business to be efficient and we want the business to have systems and processes and manuals so that the same thing can happen the same way every single time in your business without you being involved.
