That one, that was one of the most eye-opening two or three day, I, I think it ended up being a three-day period, of turkey hunting that I've probably ever had.
So many questions, you know, that run through the average turkey hunter's mind were somewhat answered in that timeframe by this, this turkey or this spot where we were hunting them.
Mm-hmm.I guess to give you a little background, I scouted this particular area.
I went in there before season listening a few times, and I heard a couple different turkeys gobbling in it and around it.
It's basically just a walking access easement through a bunch of woods for a long distance.
And it's at the same time, the piece isn't but a couple hundred acres in size altogether.
I mean, they bounce off of it onto private land and back onto it all the time.
So when I listened there before season, there was one turkey that was roosted right on the boundary.
So anyway, me and Ted went in there, I think mid-morning the first day that we hunted it.
And I called a little bit and eventually got a hen to strike up and start cutting and yelping.
He gobbled as we set up because when we heard that hen calling, we decided to sit down.
