Years ago, before GLP-1s became mainstream, I found myself in a really unique position.
I was here in Los Angeles working as a nutritionist and coach with some of the earliest adopters of these medications, and at that time, most of the people were just taking the standard high doses and really not doing much else.
And then there was this other group that was experimenting with very small doses, what we now call microdosing, and I started noticing something.
One group, we'll call those the standard protocol group, was approaching weight loss like a battle.
There was muscle loss involved, and more importantly, there was just this feeling that they were disconnected from their body, and there was often a sense that the body just needed to be overpowered.
Then there was this other group, the holistically inclined, the microdosing group, and what struck me about them wasn't just the results they were getting, it was the way they were getting them.
They were getting curious about what needed to be improved in their health, whether it was their metabolic health or gut health or hormones or stress levels or sleep or whatever was going on in their life that was really in the way.
There was a, a real desire to get to the root cause, whether that meant supporting their s- nervous systems or focusing on therapy or exercise.
