Development Challenges, AI & Why I'm Buying More HMOs #BizUpdate

Okay, welcome back.

So today is, of course, an update from me.

I'm going to tell you exactly what's been going on in my businesses over the last few months.

My last check-in was July.

So for those of you who tuned into that episode, you might remember that we were having a few challenges with one of our large development sites.

We actually had a contractor go bust on us, and it was a really difficult period of time for us where we had to kind of close a big site down, regroup.

And of course, when you have to do that, it tends to cost a lot of money.

And If you're not careful, it can also upset a lot of people and you can end up in a very difficult position as a developer struggling to get trades back on site and keep your project

moving.

Anyway,

today I'm going to give you a bit of an update on that.

I was probably just getting ready to start another project.

This one was a little bit different because this is our house that we're going to live in here in Harrogate.

We were super excited about it, but that project had been quite literally 18 months, two years in the making.

So today I'm going to give you an update on that.

There has been ongoing issues with tenants.

In fact, for the last certainly 12 months, and I'll give you an update on some of that stuff as well.

And the usual summer chaos just kind of ensued.

It's like that every year, but I feel like for me in particular, this year was particularly chaotic.

But look, I love to share these updates with you.

It does a few things.

First of all, I think it's a great reminder to you guys that I'm not just here talking about investing in property.

I am actually out there doing it every single day.

And so when you guys feel like it's tough, I can sympathize.

I know it's tough.
