So we'll do a short recap of what we talked about last week, and last week we, we had quite a bit.
Shri Rama had asked him two questions: "Who is this Vali and Sugriva? And why didn't Hanuman help Sugriva? With all the power that he has, why didn't he help Sugriva when the time came when Vali was exiling him?" Hmm.
And in exploring the chapter of Shri Rama-- Shri Hanuman, sorry, we saw that after he had gotten all of those varadans from all of the devatas, of after he had gone and he had chased the sun and all of that, and he got struck down, he had gotten all of these varadans.
He had become naughty, and he would go and he would harass the, the sages and all them when you see they were doing their pujas.
And after a while, they cursed him that he would lose his memory of all of these powers that he had, and he would only remember it when the time came that he needed and somebody reminded him.
So when the time came to help Sugriva when Vali was kicking him out, he didn't know that he had these powers, so he couldn't help him, right? The parentage of Vali and Sugriva, Vali is the son of Lord Indra.
And their mother, actually, their mother and father is actually the same person.
Richaraja is the son of Lord Brahma, who had entered the pool and had-- the pool had changed his gender.
How Vali had killed Dudūbi, and he had thrown the corpse at the ashram of Sage Matanga, and this is why he couldn't enter the ashram, the area of Rishyamuk hills.
This is why Sugriva and Hanuman, together with all the ministers and all of the people that followed them, lived in that area because Vali could not get to them over there.
So today we're gonna pick it up from there, and we're gonna talk a little bit more about, about this kathā.
